As per the current study food & other organic waste contributes to around 50-60% of the total waste generated in a city. At present the waste generated is disposed off directly at nearby collection spots. The substantial quantity of waste dumped at these collection spots gets mixed with all the other kinds of dry & wet waste and gives an ugly look with lot of dirt and stink.
